Natural blue diamonds are rarely true blue. When most people think of blue
in gems, they think of a royal blue or cobalt-blue like that you might see
in a fabulous sapphire, spinel or tanzanite. Diamonds are not born to be
blue. Of the relatively few that are, most have gray in them. So to find a
blue diamond as free of that modifier as this is a very rare occurrence.
